Darshana Lamprecht

Merger and Microboard facilitator

Originally from Switzerland, Darshana has called Australia home for the past 16 years. She spent around 15 years working as a registered nurse before becoming a full-time carer for her two children with disabilities.
Her lived experience has shaped her into a passionate advocate. She’s actively involved in several disability advisory groups and supports other mothers through a monthly peer support group.
Darshana was part of the Microboards for Children project group and instantly connected with our values and principles. From day one, she was enthusiastic and proactive — so much so that she immediately began establishing a Microboard for her 11-year-old daughter.
Now, she has joined Microboards Australia on a casual basis, as a Merger (Complex Communication) group and microboard facilitator, as well as supporting our social media presence, and lending a hand across various projects.
Outside of her advocacy and support work, she loves being in nature, listening to music, dancing, and trying new things.
