Liz is a retired academic, having worked at Deakin University teaching economics and researching trade and other public policies for over 20 years. She has 4 (adult) children including her daughter who is the focus person of a microboard that incorporated in 2021.

She is currently working on developing sample policies for microboards on the Microboard Facilitation team.

Liz is passionate about person centred support and independence for her daughter. This includes self management as a key way of enhancing consumer sovereignty for people with disability; empowering the choice of, and opportunity to insist on, services that most meet their needs. Having a microboard is an important way of supporting self management, along with holding her daughter’s vision into the future.
