Medical and health access planning

Microboards Australia explored the experiences of Western Australian individuals with high support needs, including complex communication needs and/or behaviours which can challenge others as part of the NDIS Information, Linkages and Capacity Building (ILC) initiative.

The Delivering Better Health Outcomes report presents the findings of the project in terms of the barriers and needs identified by individuals and families, and a review of the relevant literature.

Planning for Health, How to Tell When Something is Wrong, Communication for Health and Advocacy for Health all summarise approaches which families and others engaged in this project shared and which may help to improve outcomes for people with high support needs.
